For its 13th edition the Festival “Piazze d’Armi e di Città – Terre di Siena Festival Valdelsa” is back, promoted by Comune di Poggibonsi and E.l.s.a. common cultures Foundation: this year the Festival became part of the “La Toscana dei Festival” project which is a selection of the most important regional Festivals related to contemporary artistical languages.
The aim of Piazze d’Armi e di Città is to encrease the value of different expressive forms that visual arts can convey, to link to each others and create new points of view upon a single theme: “The Street” (for the fourth year). Specifically – in opposition to past editions – main characters of 2017 won’t be the graffiti or the urban art, but will be the via Francigena, the medieval Archeodrome of Poggio Imperiale, the emotional Rocca di Staggia and the ancient Cassero: a temporal trip to reach our territory and cultural identity’s roots through XXI century languages.
The Festival will take place from 9 to 23 of June also in Teatro Politeama and the whole city centre.
