Alberto Garutti is an italian artist born in 1948. In his artistical research the form never dominates on the content, his idea of art is always associated with etical tension and research of the reasons behind it.
The recent works realised in public spaces by Garutti had the constant characteristic to be in line with the needs, the hopes and the desire of the inhabitants. For the project Arte all’Arte the artist lived in the town for a while, talking to people and listening to their necessities, until he decided to restore the headquarter of the Premiata Società Corale Bellini, a building considered as important and symbolic by peolple, but unusable from years.
Garutti sees its role as an interpreter and mediator of the collective intelligence and knowledge.
