The historic town center of San Gimignano, a UNSECO World Heritage Site, will make you feel like a princess on your special day. Once you’ve exchanged vows in the Sala Dante ceremonial room, we suggest taking some wedding photos in front of the beautiful fresco in the Camera del Podestà, which depicts weddings in the Middle Ages. To get the full Rapunzel experience, head up to the top of the Grossa Tower (if you can manage the stairs in your wedding shoes…) where you can take some incredibly romantic wedding photos. At 54 m high, this is the tallest medieval tower in San Gimignano and boasts a breathtaking view.
After the ceremony, you are free to enjoy the romantic cobbled streets, perhaps with a glass of the local Vernaccia and a plate of local dishes made using San Gimignano saffron – just as they used to do at Medici weddings during the Renaissance.
