This experience brings together the pleasure of a stroll through San Gimignano and its surrounding countryside with the joys of traditional Tuscan cooking. The walking tour provides some wonderful views of the towers of San Gimignano: we set off from the center of the town and walk around some of the artistic and architectural treasures within the walls. We then head out to the countryside to photograph the town from olive groves and vineyards wheresangiovese and vernaccia grape varieties are grown. At the end of the walk, we will stop for a guided tour around a farm and the chance to help prepare a typically Tuscan lunch (to be eaten outside if possible). Small groups will get hands-on learning how to make tagliatelle served with a delicious seasonal sauce. The aim is to have fun in the kitchen, to eat together and enjoy some good wine and good company – as well as learning some of the secrets of Tuscan cooking. We also run a family-friendly version of the tour with a treasure hunt and local non-alcoholic drinks for younger members of the family.
